BIOVEGEN report. Call for grants for the promotion of the Bioeconomy and contribution to the Ecological Transition of the Biodiversity Foundation

Recently, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has opened the call to grants from the Biodiversity Foundation to large transformative scientific-technical projects for the promotion of the bioeconomy and the contribution to the ecological transition within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

  • Projects will be financed that include actions that contribute to conserve ecosystems, their habitats and species; to reduce the use of raw materials or the increased use of by-products and other raw materials efficiently and sustainably, as well as reverse biodiversity loss, including the fight against climate change.
  • It has a total budget of 20 million euros, allocating a maximum of €2M in subsidies per project, from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
  • The deadline for sending applications ends on January 3, 2022.

Given the interest that this call may generate in our sector, at BIOVEGEN we have prepared a brief report that summarizes the main characteristics of the call.
