The GO FITONET final event: The social network of plant genetic resources was successfully held

On February 21, 2025, the GO FITONET final event: The social network of plant genetic resources, a meeting dedicated to the presentation of the main results of this project innovative.

The day brought together More than 50 professionals from the sector and allowed the members of the Operational Group to present the achievements and results obtained in each of the pilot projects. In addition, The web and mobile application “APP FITONET” was presented, designed for farmers, producers and companies, with the aim of providing immediate access to information and knowledge on plant genetic resources.

The event concluded with a section in which the main milestones achieved within the framework of this public-private collaboration initiative were highlighted. Also in this section, suggestions and proposals for improvement in the management of subsidies from Operative Groups were raised, which were collected by Cristina Simón, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Simón, in charge of closing the day, highlighted the innovative nature of FITONET and thanked its members for the progress achieved.
