BIOVEGEN organizes a science-business session at the meeting of the “Phytophagous Plant” Research Network

On May 18-20, BIOVEGEN participated in the Research NETWORK meeting “Learning from nature: multitrophic interactions for the protection of crops and forests” (Ref. RED2018-102407-T), funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The meeting took place at the Lucas Olazábal Residence of the UPM, in Cercedilla. This NETWORK, made up of 11 groups of Spanish scientists belonging to different universities, CSIC research centers and Autonomous Communities (IVIA), is interested in deepening the knowledge of the complex network of phytophagous plant interaction through coordinated action between groups.

The NETWORK has a special interest in the transfer of knowledge and cooperation with the private sector, which is why on May 19 a science-business session organized by BIOVEGEN was held, in which companies such as ARTAL, TRADECORP, BIOMAR, DF BLUE AGRO, CLEAN BIOTEC, PROBELTE, KOPPERT, FERTINAGRO BIOTECH and AGRIFOOD INNOVATIONS, in which the companies presented their objectives and interests and an active and enriching science-business discussion table was held.
Furthermore, this event allowed BIOVEGEN to present the objectives and characteristics of the MICROCLIMATT Operational Group, a project whose objective is to highlight the essential role of agricultural biostimulants. The MicroClimatt Operating Group, with a budget of 557,816.49 euros, is co-financed by the European Union to 80% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 20% under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the managing authority in charge of applying the aid being the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training (DGDRIFA).
