BIOVEGEN participates in the FV2017 Congress

Program

BIOVEGEN participated yesterday in the XXII Meeting of the Spanish Society of Plant Physiology. This biennial congress, sponsored by the Spanish and Portuguese Societies of Plant Physiology, is one of the main scientific meetings dedicated to the study of the functioning of plants in its basic and applied aspects that are held in the Iberian Peninsula.

BIOVEGEN's participation was framed in the debate table titled “Perspectives in Training in Plant Physiology: University-Business Relationship”, moderated by Manuel Pineda (University of Córdoba) and in which the following also participated:

  • Torben Jahrmann. Fitó Seeds (Barcelona)
  • Pedro Molina. IdenBiotechnology (Navarra)

The session analyzed new and potential areas of training for future professionals that are strategic for the industrial sector, and whether they are sufficiently represented in the training received by university students at different levels (bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctorate). The perception of the involvement of the industrial sector in the training of future professionals was also raised; Finally, measures were proposed to promote the Academy-Company connection in the training of future professionals.
