BIOVEGEN attends the webinar “European Funds for the Madrid Food Industry”
BIOVEGEN attended yesterday the meeting on “European funds for the Madrid food industry”, organized by the Association of Food Industries of the Community of Madrid (ASEACAM) and Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar. This event aimed to present the current European financing framework and its financing lines, both in direct management programs and in Next Generation funds, as well as possible coordinated projects for agri-food industries.
The meeting was attended by Silvia Pajares, Director of the CEIM European Funds Technical Office, who gave a summary of the current European funding framework. He highlighted the Multiannual Financial Framework, the funds Next Generation EU and the program Horizon Europe. Given the recent publication of Spain's definitive Recovery Plan, Silvia also focused on explaining the lines of action and investments that will most affect the agri-food sector.
For its part, Mariano Gonzalez, Deputy Minister of the Environment of the Community of Madrid, emphasized the importance of communication between the Autonomous Communities and the Government in preparing the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Finally, Jose Antonio Guerrero, Regional Director of Cajamar, made some references to the opportunities that these funds will bring to the productive fabric, as well as the responsibilities that companies will have to address in the face of the transformation of the economy.
