Spanish biotechnology represents 2.8% of world production and 30% more than the world average is cited in this area. Spain ranks ninth in scientific production in biotechnology and has the highest percentage of scientific articles in high-impact journals of all countries: 83.3%. Even so, Spain remains an untapped source of innovation.
In this context, from September 28 to October 1, Asebio will organize the third edition of the investor forum, Asebio Investor Day, which will have more than 280 attendees, 57 investors from 10 different countries and more than 500 closed partnering meetings.
AseBio Investor Day is an event that allows innovative Spanish biotechnology projects to be presented to an audience of important international investors and pharmaceutical and industrial companies. This year, due to the circumstances we find ourselves in due to Coronavirus, the Asebio Investor Day will be online.
As in previous years, there will be sessions where the current situation of financing biotechnology projects in early, intermediate and late phases will be discussed. In addition, the importance of new investment instruments such as venture capital companies, corporate investors, crowdfunding, investors and public initiatives that have gained much importance in recent years will be discussed.
