10th PIC WEEK 2020

From June 22 to 26, 2020

Plant InterCluster (PIC), international R&D cluster in plant production in which BIOVEGEN is integrated, celebrates its annual reference event PIC WEEK 2020 the next June 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26. This meeting, which was initially going to be held in the city of Lyon, will finally take place in virtual format due to the current health crisis. PIC WEEK 2020 It is the most important event for plant production clusters in Europe and is aimed at those entities related to plant biotechnology. (seed production, plant health/nutrition, human and plant nutrition, urban agriculture, cosmetics, health, biomaterials, etc..).

During its week-long duration, dedicated to promoting innovation in the sector and creating common strategies that facilitate the international development of clusters and their members, the event will offer the possibility of:

Attend thematic conferences (Digital Innovation Hub, S3, financing possibilities...).
Participate in workshops to search for projects and potentials partners.
Enjoy guided virtual tours of the host region “Auvergne Rhône Alpes” including: SMEs, experimental centres, companies and research centres.
Maintain private meetings with speakers and other participants.

Plant InterCluster (PIC) is an international cluster created 10 years ago in France and that acts as a network with clusters from other sectors: cereals, fruit and vegetables, ornamentals, medicinal plants, etc. Since 2018 it has been managed by the French agri-food cluster VEGEPOLYS VALLEY and its objectives include:

Exchange of good practices in Innovation governance
Support for technological cooperation and collaborations for innovation.
International business development opportunities.
