He is an Agricultural Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, specialized in food industries. Since January 2007, he has worked for the European Programs Division of the CDTI as the Spanish Delegate for “Bioeconomy” in the 7th Framework Program (2007-2013) and H2020 (as of 2014). He already represents Spain in the preparations for Cluster 6 of Horizon Europe (Bioeconomy and Environment). He also represented Spain in the BioBased Industries Joint Undertaking from 2014 to 2018, where he also chaired the Representative Group of States. Previously, José Manuel GONZALEZ worked for more than 6 years as a project manager for CGI, SA, a consulting firm specialized in agri-food industries. In his last year, he was part of the Board of Directors. During 2014 and 2015 he worked on the development of the Spanish Bioeconomy Strategy, and is currently a member of the Bioeconomy Observatory in Spain.

Francisco Espinosa is the Research Director of Seipasa. He has a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Valencia (Spain) and has extensive experience of more than 16 years in the company. Espinosa is a specialist in the formulation of biopesticides and biostimulants from substances of botanical and microbiological origin. Their work allowed Seipasa to develop three new patents for products Pirecris (ES2444991A1), Fungisei (ES2520615B2) and Gemsei (ES2671566B2). Recently SEIPASA won the prestigious 2020 National Innovation Award in the SME category by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
