• DESCRIPTION: The IVIA's mission is to contribute to productive and sustainable agricultural activity, promoting the competitiveness of the agricultural, livestock and agri-food sectors through the generation of knowledge that responds to technical, social and economic demands, through applied and excellent research. and optimal transfer of results.
• PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Promote and carry out research programs, own or concerted, related to the Valencian agri-food sector.
  • Transfer the scientific results obtained and maintain relations with the agri-food sector.
  • Promote relationships with other institutions in the scientific community.
  • Promote the organization of conferences or scientific meetings.
  • Advise on agri-food research and development.
  • Contribute to the training of research personnel in the field of their scientific purposes.
  • Any other functions that are expressly assigned or derived from the general purposes for which they are responsible.
