I-GRAPE LABORATORY has patented technology for the recovery of waste from the agri-food industry by obtaining bioactive natural extracts. It currently markets extracts in the animal health sector with antibacterial, preservative and fungicidal activity, which are used for preventive hygiene against diseases such as Mastitis, and for the conservation of biological samples. i-Grape develops its R&D activity in projects aimed at the food, pharmaceutical and veterinary, bio-pesticide, and biocide sectors; developing extracts as natural active substances with antibacterial, fungicidal and preservative properties.
As part of its commitment to sustainability and circular economy, i-Grape Laboratory has patented technology to obtain vermicompost from the solid waste generated during extraction. Vermicompost is a microbiologically active substrate, with a high water retention capacity, a high content of humic substances and nutrients, and a high load of extracellular enzymes; which gives it characteristic properties such as fertilizer, biostimulant, bioremediator and biocontrol.
