UNIGEN SEEDS SPAIN, heir to the former Akira Seeds (founded in 2007), is a company dedicated to the research, development and marketing of varieties of hybrid horticultural seeds, tested and adapted to different production areas.

It is part of the American company United Genetics Seeds Co., with headquarters in California and subsidiaries in Italy, Türkiye, India, Chili and Mexico besides Spain.

DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

  • Creation, development and adaptation to different conditions of competitive genetic improvement programs in pepper. Own resources.
  • Development of double haploids to obtain parental lines in sweet and hot peppers. In collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).
  • Development of parental lines in pepper with resistance to Leveillula taurica to obtain commercial hybrids that present said resistance. Own resources.
