Agrotech/ICTs, R&D Services
BioPredX develops predictive software for the relevant properties of biological macromolecules, focusing specifically on the design and improvement of high-value proteins and the assessment of the impact of genetic variants. Our philosophy is simple: to offer clients a user-friendly, intuitive, and accessible software-as-a-service solution, designed for use without extensive bioinformatics knowledge. In this way, we provide simple, agile, accessible, and scalable solutions for new product development, enabling users to reduce the costs and development time of these processes.

- COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION: BioPredX provides its clients with biocomputational tools for the analysis, interpretation, and improvement of biological macromolecules, enabling them to reduce costs and accelerate their time to market. The common thread running through the various business lines and the foundation of the company is the prediction of the biological properties of macromolecules. Our goal is to explore the vast biological diversity in a more rational way to find solutions to the challenges faced in developing new products, through software as a service accessible to any user, without requiring prior advanced knowledge.
- BUSINESS LINES:
- Protein design: SaaS platforms focused on the rational design of proteins with specific objectives. Protposer, a SaaS platform for protein stabilization, is currently available.
- Genetic diagnosis: SaaS tools designed to support genetic diagnosis. Globalpred, a SaaS tool for analyzing SNVs of the human genome, is currently under development.
- INFRASTRUCTURE:
- DATA OF INTEREST: BioPredX stems from years of research conducted by the group of Javier Sancho (Professor of Biochemistry and Cell Biology) and Helena García Cebollada (PhD in Bioinformatics), its two initial employees. It also has the support of the rest of the founding team: Beatriz Gómez with her experience as a technology transfer specialist and Ana Flores in the development of models for interpreting genetic variants.

TECHNOLOGICAL SUPPLY/DEMAND:
- High-value protein enhancement
- Enzyme enhancement
- Design of proteins with specific functions. Design of models for interpreting genetic variants.
