CARTIF It is a horizontal, private and non-profit Technology Center. Its mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.

CARTIF develops R&D&I projects financed directly by companies or through public funds obtained in competitive calls at a national and international level. CARTIF also advises public administrations (municipalities and regional governments) in the planning and development of innovative projects with high economic return.

CARTIF is a multidisciplinary center that develops its activity in multiple areas of knowledge focused on almost all economic sectors: energy, food, industry, construction and infrastructure, health and environment, with technological lines that respond to the main challenges in each of them. them, such as smart networks, smart cities, energy efficiency, heritage, quality of life, circular economy, natural resources and biotechnology.

In the area of BiotechnologyIn CARTIF, various areas of knowledge and tools based on biotechnology and green chemistry are integrated for the improvement and sustainability of industrial processes, the environment and quality of life. It is committed to the research and implementation of solutions applied to the industrial sector (agri-food, chemistry, materials), from the point of view of the development of more efficient, sustainable products and processes integrated into the useful life cycle.
