BIOVEGEN report. Call for Science and Innovation Missions 2021

It has just been published Call for MISSIONS SCIENCE AND INNOVATION 2021 with subsidies in the amount of 141,250,000 euros from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism for competitive cooperative research projects. Through this program, the Center for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI) will finance large business R&D projects aimed at solving relevant societal challenges:

1. Promote Spanish agriculture of the 21st century: sustainable, intelligent, efficient in the consumption of water resources and adapted to Climate Change.
2. Promote safe, efficient and clean energy for the 21st century
3. Promote sustainable and intelligent intermodal transport
4. Promote Spanish industry in the industrial revolution of the 21st century
5. Providing the necessary cybersecurity to Spanish society in the 21st century: boosting information security and privacy
6. Promote the development of tourism by exploiting the possibilities of technology and artificial intelligence
7. Promotion of the circular economy through new recycling and recovery technologies for polymeric composite waste in Spain
8. Boost to high performance computing
9. Promote the advancement and technological training of the Spanish biopharmaceutical industry to promote R&D actions in the field of vaccines and advanced therapies.

One of the Thematic Missions included is “Promote Spanish agriculture of the 21st century: sustainable, intelligent, efficient in the consumption of water resources and adapted to Climate Change”Therefore, given the interest that this call has for our sector, at BIOVEGEN we have prepared a report to transmit the most relevant aspects of this program.
