BIOVEGEN report. LIFE 2021 Call

The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Agency has recently launched the LIFE Program 2021-2027. This is the only European Union instrument dedicated exclusively to financing projects aimed at the environment and climate action. The objective of this call is to finance projects framed within four specific subprograms:

1. Nature and Biodiversity
2. Circular Economy and Quality of Life
3. Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change
4. Clean Energy Transition

The LIFE PROGRAM has a budget of 5,432 million euros for the period 2021-2027. The budget allocation of the 2021 call is 580 million euros. The aid will be of a subsidy type.

• Nature and Biodiversity Subprogram (BIO/NAT). Up to a 75% subsidy (60-67-75%).
• Circular Economy and Quality of Life Subprogram (ENV). Up to a 60% subsidy.
• Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Subprogram (CLIMATE). Up to a 60% subsidy.
• Clean Energy Transition (CET) Subprogram. This subprogram is totally new, and the intensity of the aid can reach 95% of subsidy
