BIOVEGEN report. Call for R&D in AI_digitalization of networks

Over the last year, the Government has published various initiatives and programs to promote the digitalization of national value chains.

On July 23, 2020, the Digital Spain Plan 2025 was presented, aimed at the Spanish digital transformation as a lever for economic growth, and which contemplates the promotion of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a fundamental pillar. Along these lines, the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy provides a framework of reference and impetus for the public and private sectors.

On the other hand, on September 8, 2020, the Council of Ministers approved the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy (EECTI) 2021-2027, a primary instrument for the consolidation and reinforcement of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System (SECTI). that will promote the coordination and alignment of public policies that favor the digitalization of our society and our industries in the field of R&D&I.

Within this framework, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation will support the financing of research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other digital technologies and their integration into the value chain with €105,000,000 from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism. This call is being managed through the Red.es service.
