BIOVEGEN report. Call for Bio-Based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) 2025

Recently the initiative Circular Bio-based Europe (CBE-JU) has published its Annual Work Programme 2025. This new call will dedicate 165 million euros to boost the circular economy and the development of innovative bio-based solutions in Europe through 13 themes:

• 4 Innovation Actions – Flagship (IA-Flagship): €74 M
• 5 Innovation Actions (IA): €69 M
• 3 Research and Innovation Actions (RIA): €19 M
• 1 Coordination and Support Action (CSA): €1 M

In line with this and in line with the objective of circularity, this call will finance technological proposals focused on protecting and conserving biodiversity, combating pollution, reducing dependence on fossil resources and implementing a fair transition. 

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Opening of call for applications: April 4, 2025
• Closing of the call: September 17, 2025
