BIOVEGEN Report Regulatory bases for aid from the PERTE AGRO-FOOD

The execution of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan includes a new figure of public-private collaboration: the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE). Within this figure will be included tractor projects with a structural transformative impact on the value chain of strategic sectors or with research and innovation phases.

He PERTE Agri-food, whose regulatory bases have been recently published, its main objective is to commit to innovation, digitalization and sustainability of the entire sector, through support programs and transformative instruments that promote sustainable, competitive and resilient agri-food production and industry. The first PERTE Agro aid package will be provided with €510 Million and will be executed by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism:

  • Announcement: The submission period will begin on January 23, 2023 and will end on February 28, 2023.
  • Type of aid: currently €310 million in the form of a grant and €200 million in the form of a loan.
  • Minimum budget per tractor project: 10 million euros.
  • Minimum budget per primary project: 100,000 euros (in certain actions, such as traceability and food safety, there is no minimum budget).
