UPDATE. BIOVEGEN Report: Regulatory bases for AXIS 1-PERTE AGRO-FOOD aid

The execution of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan includes a new figure of public-private collaboration: the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE). Within this figure will be included tractor projects with a structural transformative impact on the value chain of strategic sectors or with research and innovation phases.

He PERTE Agri-food, whose regulatory bases have been recently published, its main objective is to commit to innovation, digitalization and sustainability of the entire sector, through support programs and transformative instruments that promote sustainable, competitive and resilient agri-food production and industry. The first aid package from PERTE Agro will be provided with approximately €400 Million (not closed, estimated between €450-500 M) and will be executed by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism:

• Announcement: its call is scheduled for early November 2022.
• Type of aid: currently €213 M in the form of a grant and €233 M in the form of a loan.
• Minimum budget per tractor project: €15M.
• Minimum budget per primary project: to be determined in the call.

Given the importance of this aid, at BIOVEGEN we have prepared a summary report of its regulatory bases.
