BIOVEGEN report. Analysis of the provisional resolution of the Agri-Food PERTE

On September 15, 2023, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Government of Spain published the provisional resolution of the procedure for granting aid for industrial strengthening actions in the agri-food sector, within the PERTE Agri-food sector.

In the provisional resolution of the 22 tractor projects presented: 13 projects have been estimated, 5 rejected and 4 withdrawn. Participation of plant biotechnology in the projects:

• 59% of the projects presented are projects with activity in plant biotechnology.
• Budget allocated to projects with activity in plant biotechnology: 117,203,108 euros.
• 69% of the estimated proposals are projects with activity in plant biotechnology.
• Currently the process is in the allegations phase.

Given the importance of this aid, at BIOVEGEN we have prepared a Report that analyzes the provisional resolution proposal of the PERTE Agri-food.
