BIOVEGEN proposal: consultation on the European Union Biotechnology Law

The next November 10th ends the deadline for submitting the consultation on the reform of the European Union Biotechnology Law, aimed at regulating the use of biotechnology more efficiently, with the aim to improve the size and competitiveness of the biotechnology sector in the EU. 

This new Biotechnology Law will propose several measures to create an environment that will accelerate the transition of biotechnology products from laboratories to factories and their introduction to the market, while maintaining the strictest safety standards to protect the population and the environment.

Given the importance of this instrument, at BIOVEGEN we have prepared a contribution to the proposal for this law, focusing on plant biotechnology.
