New BIOVEGEN partner: ITENE

A new entity has joined BIOVEGEN as a partner. ITENE carries 30 years offering customized solutions for all the companies that make up the value chain of the 4 major areas in which they work: materials and technologies for circular economy, security, design and functionality of Containers and packaging, security and technologies environmental monitoring and transportation, mobility and digital transformation.

Specifically, ITENE has the experience and adequate facilities to develop biotechnological solutions focused on the valorization of organic by-products and packaging waste. The high added value products obtained have application in different industrial sectors, among which stand out: packaging, cosmetics, detergents, agriculture, nutra and food. 

In addition, they define and develop biotechnological processes to obtain products with high added value using biotechnologies that are as sustainable as possible and technically-economically viable. These processes are developed on a laboratory scale, and can be scaled in their facilities to pilot plant volumes, which allows them to have a closer view of the industrialization of the process through technical-economic analysis of them.
