New BIOVEGEN partner: I2SYSBIO
A new entity has joined BIOVEGEN as a partner. The Institute of Integrative Systems Biology, I2SysBio, is a mixed research center made up of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Universitat de València General Studies (UVEG). Located in the University Science Park, I2Sysbio's mission is to generate fundamental knowledge about the complexity of biological systems and transfer it to the productive sector to improve health and the environment; consolidate synthetic and systems biology in Spain and be an international reference center.
To do this, we try to understand the complexity of life by approaching the problem with a holistic and evolutionary vision. We use the most cutting-edge tools of omics techniques and we have computing capacity that allows us to work with large amounts of data to solve complex biological problems. I2SysBio is a multi and interdisciplinary institute, with 23 research groups organized into 3 programs: systems biotechnology, pathogenic systems biology, and theoretical and computational systems biology.
