GO BIODIF participates in the AGRO4FOOD Assembly

He BIODIF Operational Group participated last June 19, 2025 in the Assembly of the Interdisciplinary Thematic Platform (PTI) AGRO4FOOD, held at the Institute of Food Science, Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN-CSIC). Specifically, this innovative project, with its focus on the biofunctionalization of strategic crops such as corn, tomatoes, and olives through the incorporation of essential micro- and macronutrients, was positioned as a clear example of a project aligned with the AGRO4FOOD objectives, which focus on promoting more sustainable, healthy, and technologically advanced agriculture.

During the meeting, also Representatives of other agri-food projects intervened who shared scientific and technological advances in key areas such as genetic improvement and the recovery of agro-food waste. All of this in a collaborative environment between CSIC centers, interdisciplinary platforms and other sector agents.

GO BIODIF's participation in this event reinforced the role of PTIs as tools for transferring scientific knowledge to the agri-food sector, promoting innovative solutions to the sector's current challenges. Furthermore, following the meeting, The members of the BIODIF Operational Group held an internal meeting to coordinate the activities which will be executed throughout the second year of the project.
