The workshop "Roots and their micro-ecosystem for the agriculture of the future" was held.

On March 11, 2025, the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP) held the Workshop "Roots and their micro-ecosystem for the agriculture of the future" an event focused on promote the collaboration between the research centers and companies of the agri-food sector.
BIOVEGEN, along with several of its partners, participated in this meeting, which aimed to foster cooperation between researchers from the Roots4thefuture thematic network and companies specializing in the development of bioinputs, plant nutrition and health, plant regeneration, and varietal breeding.
During the day, the following were carried out: Presentations and discussions on the latest innovations in agricultural biotechnology, focusing on the development of biotechnological tools and biosolutions that promote root growth and functionality.
In addition, in the Roundtable discussion on "Public-Private Collaboration Dialogues," moderated by BIOVEGEN, the technological needs of the sector and opportunities for collaboration were discussed. The participating partner companies ValGenetics, ISIFARMER, CORMA and AlgaEnergy shared their progress and perspectives on the future of the agrobiotechnology sector., highlighting the importance of innovation in addressing current agricultural challenges.
