BIOVEGEN participates in UPM Day

BIOVEGEN participated in the event to present the technological portfolio and companies spin-off from the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics, CBGP (UPM-INIA/CSIC). The meeting was held on the 18th within the framework of UPM Day and aimed to provide solutions and products that contribute to improving the sustainability of agricultural production and addressing the present/future challenges of food production. During the presentation of BIOVEGEN, the activities of the Technological Platform were presented and the importance of public-private collaboration and science-business cooperation in R&D&I in the agrobiotechnology sector was explained.

Furthermore, this event allowed BIOVEGEN to present the objectives and characteristics of the MICROCLIMATT Operational Group, a project whose objective is to highlight the essential role of agricultural biostimulants. The MicroClimatt Operating Group, with a budget of 557,816.49 euros, is co-financed by the European Union to 80% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 20% under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the managing authority in charge of applying the aid being the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training (DGDRIFA).
