BIOVEGEN participates in the TRANSFIERE 2013 FORUM
BIOVEGEN participated on February 13 and 14, 2013 in the second edition of TRANSFIERE, European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, which was held at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga.
Forum Objectives: Transfer is a multi-sector networking forum whose purpose is to promote transfer and cooperation between the scientific field and the business sector. Universities and research centers transmit their scientific knowledge to companies and R&D&I producing agents, while the business sector has the opportunity to convey its concerns to the university community so that they know the real market demands.

Two types of entities participated:
- Technology providers (research groups from universities, OPIs and Technology Centers, as well as companies, foundations, institutions, etc. that make known the results of their research work, with the aim of being able to apply, develop and/or market them).
- Technology demanders (Public Administrations and public and private companies)
It had the participation of more than 1,000 people, among which there were more than 200 companies and 50 universities (Source: Diariosur) from 6 different sectors:
- Agri-food
- Health
- Tourism
- Infrastructure and Transportation
- Information and Communication Technologies and Contents
- Industry, Energy and Environment
The Transfer Organization contacted BIOVEGEN to offer special participation conditions* to its partners, who, by being part of the Technology Platform, had the opportunity to benefit from the following conditions (offer valid for up to 4 partners):
- Free use of your own space for one-on-one meetings
- Free registration to access the event and all its activities
*Normal conditions of participation:
- Registration 1 day: €180
- 2 days: €324

Transfer was structured into different activities:
- Pre-arranged or on-the-spot meetings between technology demanders and suppliers. Meetings of 10 or 30 minutes, at rotating tables or tables rented by the entities.
- 10-minute presentations in the “Speaker Corner”. Speakers: university, OPIs, Technology Centers, Technology Parks and Centers for innovative companies, Administration.
- Round Tables (Trend Area): five tables in total where current trends on transfer and internationalization are discussed. Topics of the round tables:
- International Science and Technology Parks
- Innovative Public Procurement
- New Trends in Technology Transfer
- Technology Transfer from the perspective of the company
- Entrepreneurship and Business Creation
