BIOVEGEN participates in Biopesticides Europe 2023

The international conference “BIOPESTICIDES EUROPE 2023” was held on June 6 and 7, which on this occasion took place in Brussels. The event brought together the main players in this industry for two days with the aim of discussing the latest changes, challenges and developments within the industry. The latest updates on European biopesticide regulation, global biopesticide market, environmental effects, biopesticides for a sustainable future, microbial and non-microbial products, mode of action and much more were highlighted during the event. In addition, different experts from the industrial and academic sectors presented their case studies. One of them was BIOVEGEN, which participated with a presentation on biopesticides “Moving Towards the Globalization of Biopesticides & a Healthier Ecosystem”.

In addition, BIOVEGEN, which participated with a presentation on biopesticides, mentioned the FitoNet Operational Group, explaining the evolution of this innovative project aimed at the development of a digital environment and living laboratories to valorize plant genetic resources of agricultural interest.

The FitoNet Operational Group, with a budget of 594,138.18 euros, is co-financed by the European Union to 80% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 20% under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the managing authority in charge of applying the aid being the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training (DGDRIFA).
