BIOVEGEN has participated in the International Congress for the Protection of Intellectual Property
The International Congress “Protection of Intellectual Property for Plant Innovation and Distinctive Signs of Quality in Europe in 2023” was held on May 31 and June 1, organized by the Department of Commercial Law and Procedural Law of the University of Alicante. . This event was attended by the main institutions, researchers, associations and law firms specialized in this matter in order to provide information and debate on intellectual property for plant innovation.
BIOVEGEN participated during the first day of the Congress in Panel II, entitled “Plant innovation and sustainability”. During this presentation, the Technology Platform was able to explain the developments that the FitoNet Operational Group is carrying out in terms of the development of a digital environment and living laboratories to valorize plant genetic resources of agricultural interest.
The FitoNet Operational Group, with a budget of 594,138.18 euros, is co-financed by the European Union to 80% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 20% under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the managing authority in charge of applying the aid being the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training (DGDRIFA).
