BIOVEGEN attends the presentation of the Third Report on Science and Technology of the Alternativas Foundation

BIOVEGEN has attended the presentation of the Third Report on Science and Technology of the Alternativas Foundation. The report, titled "How to rebuild the R&D&I system after the pandemic", analyzes the current situation of science and innovation in Spain and its comparison with other countries. The possible ways by which a consolidated and orderly development of the R&D&I system in Spain can be realistically achieved are also examined, so that it can become the basis of a more solid and resilient economy.

The preparation of the report has been carried out by Vicente Lárraga (professor at the CSIC and director of the report) and Mariano Barbacid (head of oncology at the CNIO and trustee of the Alternativas Foundation). Furthermore, the report contemplates and provides opinion and possible solutions to the current situation from various points of view, thanks to the participation of experts from other sectors, such as Isabel Álvarez (director of the Complutense Institute of International Studies) and Carmen Andrade (vice president of the Spanish Association for the Advancement of Science).
