BIOVEGEN “Science-Business” Session

This year, the Congress will have a Science-Business Session (Thursdays) July 14, 3:45-5:45 p.m.), organized by BIOVEGEN and which will bring together researchers and companies to enhance Science-Business collaboration.
The Congress will bring together researchers, teachers, technicians and companies from the sector with the aim of offering a framework that encourages debate, dissemination and updating on advances and trends in the different fields that make up plant genetic improvement.
The scientific programme will cover new developments, innovations and information on current trends in plant breeding and will be organised around thematic sessions. Discussion and sharing of advances in each area will be encouraged.
The congress is organised by the Plant Genetic Improvement Sections of the Spanish Society of Horticultural Sciences (SECH), the Spanish Society of Genetics (SEG) and NEIKER-Basque Institute of Agricultural Research and Development. The congress will be held at the Nuevo Palacio Europa, in the historic centre of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Goals:
- To make known the latest advances in research in Scientific Plant Improvement to the scientific and business sector
- Provide a favorable environment for scientific interaction
- To offer a framework for meeting and exchanging ideas in the field of genetics, biotechnology and plant breeding
