IRTA, CAJAMAR and BIOVEGEN organize the Conference “Innovation and economic impact in plant production”

The development of technologies from plant biology, such as genetic improvement, is of vital interest for improving the competitiveness of the fruit and vegetable sector. Spain has great scientific and technological potential in this sense, and increasingly has greater support thanks to the work developed by the BIOVEGEN Platform and the public-private collaboration initiatives that are being carried out.
This conference will show the new technological trends in plant biology and its possibilities, the added value that research brings to the economic activity of the private sector of plant production and how this can stimulate the private sector to undertake R&D activities and collaborations. with public research centers. Financing tools and help in the development of R&D projects will also be shown.
Bilateral meetings: In order to offer tools for developing R&D proposals during the Conference, attendees will be offered the possibility of:
- Bilateral proposal review meetings with CDTI expert: to review and polish proposals that may receive public funding
- Prior mobilization of technological offers and demands: to search for common interests and organization of bilateral meetings between proponents and interested parties
