GO NATURSMOKE FINAL EVENT: New disinfectant technologies for plant pathogen control

The operational group GO-NATURSMOKE arises in 2023 within the framework of the Andalusian Rural Development Program 2014-2022, with the objective of design and develop innovative smoke products that contribute to efficient control of various phytosanitary diseases that cause significant economic losses in agricultural production.

The new proposed technology proposes the use of antimicrobial compounds of natural origin obtained from food by-products and insurance for consumers and the environment. In this way, this novel approach will reduce the use of chemical phytosanitary products and reduce the appearance of diseases during pre- and post-harvest in a natural and sustainable way, maintaining the levels of quality and safety of the product that will finally be sold on the market.

In this context, the next June 10, 2025 The final event of GO NATURSMOKE: New disinfectant technologies based on active ingredients obtained from food by-products for the control of phytopathogens in greenhouses and post-harvest will be held at the Carmen de la Victoria University Campus (Granada). The event will be dedicated to the presentation of the results generated during the execution of this innovative project.
