BIOVEGEN: Plant Biotechnology Technological Platform
BIOVEGEN is a public-private association, led by the business sector, that brings together entities from the agri-food sector with interest in plant innovation:
- Companies of the agri-food sector:
- Breeders of plant varieties: intensive and extensive crops
- Fertilization and plant nutrition
- Plant protection
- Agrobiotechnology and R&D management
- Public research organizations
- Administration
Our goal is to improve the competitiveness of the Spanish agri-food sector through the incorporation of new technologies based on plant biology:
- Generation of joint public-private R&D&i projects
- Greater transfer of knowledge and technology to the business sector
- Contribute to the design of R&D strategies adapted to the agri-food sector
- Promote greater public and private investment in R&D
