BIOVEGEN participates in the Transfiere Forum 2026

The European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, Transfiere 2026, held its fifteenth edition on February 24, 25, and 26, 2026, at the Trade Fair and Congress Center of Malaga (FYCMA). During this key event for internationalization and the promotion of innovation in Spain, BIOVEGEN participated on February 25, 2026, in the session “Collaborative innovation for the circular economy: vision and challenges of the Interplatform Circular Economy Group, organized by the Interplatform Group for Circular Economy (GIEC), giving a presentation on its activities supporting innovation at the forum located in the stand of the State Research Agency (AEI).

Taking advantage of the international exposure and the holding of this forum in Andalusia, BIOVEGEN presented an overview of the BIODIF and SIMBIOLIVA Operational Groups, highlighting their members and the progress achieved to date within the framework of each project.

  • The BIODIF Operational Group is a project that pursues the biofunctionalization with essential micro/macroelements of three strategic national crops used as food matrices (tomato, corn and olive) for the production of table olives and oil, through the application of nanotechnology (nanofertilizers).

  • For its part, the SIMBIOLIVA Operational Group is a project aimed at developing biotechnological solutions to promote a circular economy of the olive grove associated with olive pomace, which allows protecting the soil from degradation and increasing the resilience of the crops.
