The NATURSMOKE Operational Group celebrates its final event in Granada

On June 10, 2025, the final event of the GO NATURSMOKE Operational Group was held in Granada, where the results of this innovative project focused on the development of sustainable fumigants for the control of plant pathogens were presented. The initiative, funded through the EAFRD and the Regional Government of Andalusia, has demonstrated the effectiveness of natural antimicrobial compounds obtained from food by-products as an alternative to chemical pesticides.

The event highlighted the main milestones achieved in the project from its launch in 2023 to the final trials. The event also featured the participation of GO SIMBIOLIVA, a national Operational Group for the 2023 Call for Proposals, focused on promoting and developing a circular economy strategy in olive groves through innovative solutions for olive oil management.
