BIOVEGEN participates in the conference on the potential of NGTs in the agri-food sector

Last May 12, 2025, BIOVEGEN participated in the Conference on the potential of NGTs in the agri-food sector, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. The event focused on the Presentation of the scientific advisory project developed by MAPA and CRAG, as well as analyzing recent developments in the European regulatory framework following the agreement reached by Member States on the proposed regulation of plants obtained through NGTs.

Along these lines, the two-year initiative aims to support the development of a European legislative framework and foster collaboration between science and the agri-food sector. To this end, the proposal will include the preparation of technical reports, the development of participatory workshops, and the creation of a web platform. For its part, BIOVEGEN will collaborate on this initiative by promoting synergies between the scientific and industrial sectors, facilitating the transfer of knowledge and innovation.
