BIOVEGEN participates in Biostimulants Europe 2024

On January 17, 2024, BIOVEGEN participated in Biostimulants Europe 2024 with the presentation «BIOVEGEN: Public-Private Collaborations as R&D Service Platform Providers in Plant Biotechnology». The event brought together industry leaders, researchers, scientists and professionals in the biostimulant sector. In addition, it acted as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and discussions on the latest advances, challenges and opportunities in the field of biostimulants. Due to BIOVEGEN's collaboration with the event organizers, BIOVEGEN partners had special conditions for participation. During the event, BIOVEGEN took advantage of its participation to present the FITONET Operational Group, an innovative project aimed at developing a digital environment and living laboratories to valorize plant genetic resources of agricultural interest.

The FitoNet Operational Group, with a budget of 594,138.18 euros, is co-financed by the European Union to 80% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 20% under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the managing authority in charge of applying the aid being the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training (DGDRIFA).
