BIOVEGEN participates in ARRIGE ANNUAL MEETING 2023

On May 8, the annual meeting of the ARRIGE association was held, where the topic was "genome editing in plants (and animals) in the European Union compared to other countries in the world." The meeting generated great debates about the latest advances in genome editing in plants and animals. In addition, BIOVEGEN participated in this meeting with the presentation "Genome editing in plants from BIOVEGEN" and in a subsequent round table together with other entities in the sector: Antama Foundation, ANOVE, the University of Minnesota and the EFFAB (European Forum of Animal Breeders of Farm).

The ARRIGE partnership aims to promote global governance of genome editing through a comprehensive environment for all stakeholders, including academics, researchers, doctors, public institutions, private companies, patient organizations and other non-governmental organizations, regulators, citizens , media, government agencies and decision makers. In addition to promoting scientific, ethical, social, legal and political reflection in the field of genome editing, promoting the development of genome editing technologies within a safe and ethical framework for people and for our societies. He believes it is essential to disseminate reliable information on genome editing technology for experts (all fields included), politicians and citizens around the world.
