BIOVEGEN is a public-private partnership, led by the business sector, which brings together entities from the agrifood sector with an interest in R&D&i in applied Plant Biology:

  • Plant breeders: intensive and extensive crops
  • Fertilizers, plant nutrition
  • Plant protection
  • Agrobiotechnology and R&D&I management
• Public Research Organisations
• Administration

Our objetive is to improve the Spanish agrifood sector competitiveness through the incorporation of new technologies based on Plant Biology:

• Development of R&D collaborative projects
• Foster knowledge and technology transfer towards the Industry
• Contribute to the design of R&D strategies adapted to the Agrifood sector
• Promote greater public and private investment in R&D
