This survey aims to measure the evolution of the impact of automation on employment, daily life and inequality. The differential characteristic of this IV COTEC survey has been the increase in the number of respondents: being a total of 7,300 people, which has made it possible to offer data at the regional level and design a much more complete map. The field work was carried out in the third quarter of 2020, which implies that the results collected reflect the economic and social consequences of the pandemic.

The study includes 10 general conclusions:

The pandemic has improved the image that Spaniards have of the innovation phenomenon, while it has deteriorated its vision of Spain as an innovative country.

R&D&i is ranked as the fourth priority of public spending for Spaniards, behind pensions.
