He<strong>&nbsp;National Biotechnology Award<\/strong>, an award created by the Aliter business school that this year has had the collaboration of the ISDE school, Empireo and EuroGalenus, has gone this year to&nbsp;<strong>Francisco Juan Mart\u00ednez Mojica&nbsp;<\/strong>(Francis Mojica), doctor, professor and professor at the University of Alicante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jury was made up of different personalities linked to biotechnology: Fernando Pel\u00e1ez (CSIC), Llu\u00eds Montoli\u00fa (CNB-CSIC), Rosario Cospedal (Genomics), Claudia Jim\u00e9nez (Algenex), Rogelio Pardo (Madrid BioCluster), Jos\u00e9 Antonio Plaza ( Association of Biotechnology Communicators), Isabel Garc\u00eda (InnorMadrid), Jos\u00e9 Luis Enr\u00edquez (Atrys Health), Gonzaga Ru\u00edz de Gauna (BIOVEGEN), Bel\u00e9n Barreiro (Ingenasa), Carlos Cosculluela (DRO Foundation), Carlos Rodr\u00edguez-Villa (AlgaEnergy), Jos\u00e9 Mota (LabinBiotech), Carlos del Fresno (Empireo), Luis Truchado (EuroGalenus), Mari Cruz Delgado (ISDE) and Mart\u00edn Hern\u00e1ndez-Palacios leading this group of experts as president of the jury and founder of the contest.<br><br>The jury wanted to highlight the crucial role of Francis Mojica in the development of CRISPR as transversal tools that have revolutionized practically all biotechnologies, of all colors, from bacteria to humans, including plants and animals.
