BIOVEGEN has participated as a member of the jury in the INNOVATION HUB AWARDS<\/strong> 2020\u00a0<\/strong>that are granted within the framework of the FRUIT ATTRACTION 2020 Fair<\/strong> and which are dedicated to rewarding the most innovative products and services launched on the market between 2019 and 2020. The awards have two categories: FRESH PRODUCE<\/strong> and AUXILIARY INDUSTRY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, last week, the jury coordinated by FEPEX and of which BIOVEGEN is a part, selected the 10 finalist products in each category from a total of 160 products. The defense of these finalist nominations and the awards ceremony were held on Monday, October 26, in the Fresh Produce category, and on Tuesday, October 27, in the Auxiliary Industry category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FRESH PRODUCE Category:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the category<\/strong> Fresh Produce<\/strong><\/a>, the REDI product, from the company BEJO IBERICA, has been the winner among a total of 10 finalist fruit and vegetable products that opted for this recognition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

REDI<\/a><\/strong>, is a vegetable with unique attributes that will add color and originality to any meal, an extremely healthy, unique flavor and a striking appearance thanks to the high levels of glucosinate compounds that occur naturally, Redi is extremely healthy. In addition, it has purple buds, which consist of tender stems that end in a small inflorescence. Its color contains more antioxidant compounds than normal broccoli, which consolidates and enhances its power as a functional food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the category<\/strong> F&V Industry<\/strong>,<\/a> The Water Footprint Certification project (H3), of the AGROCOLOR company, has been recognized by the jury as the winner of this edition among the 10 finalists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

He project \u201cH3 Precision agriculture as a competitive advantage of the Andalusian fruit and vegetable sector\u201d<\/a><\/strong> Its main objective is to provide the fruit and vegetable sector with usable, efficient, simple and economical tools and means designed directly for the first agent in the value chain, with which it is possible, autonomously, to acquire immediate information about the crop and thus be able to influence decision-making related to irrigation, preventing arbitrary management thereof, resulting in water savings of at least 25%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
