On January 17, 2020, the launch meeting of the GOCITRUS Operational Group was held at the Cajamar Experience Center in Paiporta. The event, held after the provisional approval of the second phase of the Project in November 2018, brought together representatives of the 8 members that make up the Operational Group. The meeting served as a starting point for the execution of the innovative project that aims to reorganize and define the varietal bases on which to establish the citrus revolution towards which our productive and export sectors are heading due to the imperatives and demands of the new relationships between the markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This objective is intended to be materialized through the generation of an identification system supported by the Citruseq genomic database. To do this, the authentication experience obtained to date will be generalized to the rest of the varieties. On the other hand, the project will work to help the decision-making of the producing sector in the varietal choice, considering its particular cultivation characteristics. To do this, an APP will be created that includes the maximum amount of existing information related to current varieties and rootstocks.
