BIOVEGEN has been included in this map along with four other Technology Platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interactive map, prepared by the JRC Knowledge Center for Bioeconomy (an organization dependent on the EC), indicates the degree of progress of the countries in the development of a National Bioeconomy Strategy and places Spain at the highest level, with its own strategy already underway. In addition, it allows you to consult, by country, the state institutions involved in the bioeconomy, other organizations, interested parties and the keys to the regional and national bioeconomy strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/knowledge4policy\/visualisation\/bioeconomy-different-countries_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"263\" height=\"242\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4896 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/biovegen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/ce.jpg\"><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can consult the interactive map in the following <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/knowledge4policy\/visualisation\/bioeconomy-different-countries_en\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>link<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The X-ray published by the European Commission also allows you to consult the main figures of the European bioeconomy by country and Spain is positioned as the fifth European country in terms of business volume in this sector (\u20ac198,400 M) and added value (\u20ac57,900 M) and as the sixth country by employment in this sector, with 1.33 million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bioeconomy encompasses those parts of the economy that use renewable biological resources from land and sea (crops, forests, animals and microorganisms) to produce food, materials and energy.
