The 4th edition of TRANSFIERE, European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation that took place at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de M\u00e1laga on February 11 and 12, 2015 concluded its last edition with an increase in the participation of professionals from 30% by bringing together more than 2,300 attendees from 26 countries and with a 50% increase in work appointments arranged in the networking area, with a total of 5,000 meetings to generate business and collaboration opportunities. BIOVEGEN participated in this event within the Forum of Spanish Technological Platforms, in the Round Table of \u201cFood Industry, Agriculture and Fishing\u201d together with other technological platforms. In this round table, the potential of innovation and technological transfer in agri-food as a driver of competitiveness was shown, showing the big data of each sector, specific financing as well as representative success stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, which is based on the need to promote dialogue between the research community and companies to promote Spanish innovation on a global level, has incorporated an online appointment agenda for holding meetings around the main productive sectors, such as Aeronautics and Aerospace \u2013with presence for the first time-, Agri-Food, Energy, Industry, Infrastructure and Transport, Environment, Health, ICTs, Public Administrations and Spanish Technological Platforms. This meeting space has hosted more than 5,000 appointments. Within these, BIOVEGEN had a work space where it held more than 22 bilateral meetings, meeting with technology demanders and suppliers to seek possible avenues for collaboration between the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, there have been more than 450 public and private entities participating in Transfer, which has consolidated itself as a priority showcase for Spanish innovation by bringing together 2,050 technological profiles, fifty universities and 220 research groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transf\u00e9re Forum is organized by the Malaga Fairs and Congress Center (Fycma), and co-organized by the capital's City Council and the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment of the Government of Andalusia through the Andalusian Knowledge Agency with FEDER funds. Among the driving companies are leading multinationals such as Clarke, Modet & C\u00ba Espa\u00f1a, Telef\u00f3nica, Airbus Group, and Endesa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, it has the collaboration of the Association of Scientific and Technological Parks of Spain (APTE), the Andalusian Technology Park (PTA), Top Digital Business Group, School of Industrial Organization (EOI) -with co-financing from European ERDF funds- and Provincial Council of Malaga.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
