On June 15, the BIOVEGEN Session \u201cOpportunities for collaboration with companies\u201d was held within the framework of the 2015 Plant Physiology Congress in Toledo. The objectives of this session were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the different speakers explained the characteristics of their companies, their activity and their determined commitment to R&D&i in the agricultural and forestry field as an unavoidable strategy for growth and competitive improvement. Thus, the companies showed the attendees their experiences of interaction between the business sector and the scientific world and the possibilities they offer for collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the Session, a colloquium took place in which different difficulties were raised for the establishment of Science-Business collaborations, such as the difficulty of accessing financing, the lack of financing mechanisms adapted to the characteristics of the agricultural sector and the difficulty to identify the technological offer of researchers and the demand and needs of companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
