Soilcea S.L.U. es la filial espa\u00f1ola, de reciente creaci\u00f3n, de Soilcea (nombre comercial de Soil Culture Solutions, LLC), una empresa estadounidense de tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola (AgTech<\/em>) con sede en Tampa, Florida. Soilcea emplea tecnolog\u00edas de mejora gen\u00e9tica de precisi\u00f3n, incluida la edici\u00f3n g\u00e9nica CRISPR, para desarrollar cultivos con una mayor resistencia a enfermedades y al estr\u00e9s ambiental.

En Estados Unidos, Soilcea ha desarrollado y comercializado CarriCea T1, un portainjerto de c\u00edtricos editado mediante CRISPR dise\u00f1ado para mejorar la resistencia al Huanglongbing<\/em> (HLB o enfermedad del enverdecimiento de los c\u00edtricos), una de las enfermedades m\u00e1s destructivas que afectan a la producci\u00f3n citr\u00edcola mundial.

A trav\u00e9s de Soilcea S.L.U. en Espa\u00f1a, la empresa est\u00e1 expandiendo su plataforma tecnol\u00f3gica a Europa, centr\u00e1ndose inicialmente en el olivo y otros cultivos mediterr\u00e1neos amenazados por enfermedades y estr\u00e9s clim\u00e1tico, incluyendo desaf\u00edos como la Xylella fastidiosa<\/em>, la sequ\u00eda y el calor. Soilcea desarrolla su programa europeo en colaboraci\u00f3n con socios industriales y cient\u00edficos, entre los que se incluyen Agromillora, as\u00ed como diversas universidades e institutos de investigaci\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a y Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
