The renewal of this agreement will allow the establishment of a two-way channel of institutional communication between the OEPM and BIOVEGEN to boost the competitiveness of the Spanish industry in the field of innovation, a determining factor for the success and consolidation of companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, the agreement underlines the importance of guaranteeing the legal protection of innovation activities through the different forms of industrial property, an essential element to guarantee the owner exclusive rights over them and prevent third parties from exploiting their innovations, with patents also being powerful tools for internationalisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the OEPM, among other actions, commits in this agreement to provide support to train BIOVEGEN professionals in IP management, holding training sessions to raise awareness of the industrial property protection system in its various forms, the technological information services offered by the OEPM and the mechanisms for protecting R&amp;D results. Likewise, the OEPM will also support BIOVEGEN in the processes of searching for documentation, patentability studies, patent applications and will provide a direct information service with those responsible for IP.
