Citriculture faces important challenges in terms of economic, social and environmental sustainability. Citrus identification, as well as verified and updated information on patterns and varieties, is the main basis of varietal management and planning, and constitutes one of the greatest demands of the citrus industry. The GOCITRUS Operational Group promotes a varietal authentication system based on genomic data and associates it with the development of a decision support tool for appropriate varietal choice. \u201cThese tools constitute a great opportunity for the innovative and sustainable development of the citrus sector.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, on September 8, 2020, the GOCITRUS Webinar: Innovation in citrus varietal identification and management<\/strong> which will have the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the members of this innovative project.
